WSU professor, student team up with Ocean Spray to stop tooth decay

Oct. 16, 2018 -- Wichita State professor David McDonald and graduate assistant Alisha Prince are trying to change the world, one mouth at a time. The team is teaming up with Ocean Spray to research synergistic properties contained in cranberries and other natural extracts that will, in theory, stop the decay of teeth and provide an alternative to traditional oral health care.

Sept. 27, 2018 -- After months of anticipation, Fuzzy's Taco Shop confirmed plans to open a restaurant in Braeburn Square, the new retail complex at Wichita State University. Next summer Fuzzy's will join Starbucks and the Shocker Store in the development near 21st and Oliver.

Aug. 9, 2018 - Wichita State University set a new record for total research and development awards in fiscal year 2018 with a total of $104.5 million, increasing awards by more than $14 million and achieving gains in most funded departments.

May 17, 2018 -- Abdul-Mannaan Giles was selected out of 400 national entries to present his study about diagnosing early-stage Alzheimer's to members of Congress on Capitol Hill. He also presented his research project regarding aerobic exercise in early-stage Alzheimer's patients at the Harvard University National Collegiate Research Conference.
